A few days ago, Øveraasen AS delivered a new TV 1360 snow blower to Trondheim Airport Værnes. Earlier, Oslo Airport Gardermoen, Bergen Airport Flesland as well as the military Airports in Bardufoss and Bodø have purchased snow blowers of the same model. For this reason, Trondheim Airport Værnes will be the fifth Airport in Norway clearing snow with a TV 1360.

The TV 1360 is a self-propelled snow blower made for airports with special requirements regarding efficiency and capacity. The snow blower is mounted to a purpose built chassis. The driver's cabin is located on the top of the blower head, thus providing an optimal view during work and driving.

The chassis has two axels, which are hydrostatically driven and allows 4-wheel steering and 4-wheel drive. The chassis-mounted diesel engine has a power capacity of 1360 Hp, making it possible to throw snow up to about 50 meters at a speed of 40 km/h. The diesel engine provides power to both the vehicle and the blower head. Operating speed is controlled by an advanced load sensing system. The auger can be reversed if necessary.  

The event was celebrated at Trondheim Airport Værnes. A big cake with the TV 1360 painted on top of it was made for the occasion.
